A quick Break

Hey everyone. Nintendo week is way too fun for me to do with out Scott so I'm putting it on pause. Hell, I may redo the ones I've done so far!!

SDCC is coming up in less than a month and that means TRICKSTER is as well. What this also means is that our daily sketch blog might be taking a bit of hit on the consistency front until after the show. We have A LOT of work to for the show and that's on top of our daily work. So we may be in an out for the next month. But after July, we'll be back in full swing.

Thanks!

Scott's a loser.

Hey all- my schedule at work, plus vacation with the family, plus TR!CKSTER means I need to let Skottie fly solo this week! I'll be playing catch-up next week on Monday (I hope), and I'll hit the Nintendo theme in one fell swoop! Thanks for the following, the support, the love, and the enthusiasm! And remember, go buy your ticket to the SkottieScott Symposium at TR!CKSTER!

Skottie: Zelda

Like most people my age, Nintendo came along and changed our lives forever. It really captivated me like nothing had before. Many, MANY hours were spent playing just about every game put out on Nintendo. We're kicking it off with ZELDA.

Scott: Down the Rabbit Hole!

9"x12", pencil and watercolor on watercolor paper, $125 US, $140 international. E-MAIL if you want this little lady to fall into your mailbox, first come, first served!

Skottie: Alice

Alice is just a little girl, which after drawing OZ for 3 years, i'm fairly used to. So I wanted to go with a scene more than just a character shot today.  I'm a huge fan of playing with scale so this is a perfect scene to depict.

Skottie: Caterpillar

This guy is so creepy to me. Crawly bugs are so gross and if I stumbled on a giant smoking caterpillar I would drop dead on the spot.

Scott: THE WHITE RABBIT

UPDATE: SOLD

Yep! It's that time! You've all been very patiently awaiting the return of SKOTTIESCOTT and we're back, better late than never! Way past due, if you ask the clock above.

Kicking off ALICE IN WONDERLAND week seems appropriate to spotlight that ol' trickster the White Rabbit. 9"x12", watercolor on watercolor paper, $125 US, $140 international. E-MAIL if you want this little guy on your wall, first come first served!

Skottie: White Rabbit

After traveling from me and a little jury duty for Scott, we're finally back. And what better way to return than with one of the most classic children's stories of all time. ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

Let's kick things off with White Rabbit. I had a lot of fun with this little doodle. As much as I enjoy the brush, I've started to fall back in love with just dead lined pens. There's something frantic about it that really speaks to me. I think after years of inking with a brush, I've actually become more confident with all tools so I'm a little more brave when it comes to reaching out there for lines. I'm going to stick to all pen this week for Alice.
