Ok, it's the Vader kid from the car ad. I couldn't help myself. That commercial is so funny and cute. I figured we'll have a few more Vader days thru out the rest of the 4 weeks that I could get away with one day of reaching into modern pop culture and having some fun.
I got a few requests to see the sketch before I take inks to it so I may start showing those from time to time. I basically just do a quick 10-15 minute rough digitally in SketchBook Pro and then print that out in light blue and ink over it.
9x12, ink on bristol
UPDATE: SOLD
Hey Skottie, great Vader. Would you be willing to post the grey rough that you do, before you ink, sometime? I would love to see how you work from the beginning on one of these warm-ups—yes, I have seen your cabby video.
ReplyDeleteThat is downright adorable.
ReplyDeleteI want to thank both of you guys for these warm-ups, I've been following along since week 1 to get myself out of doing a sketch once or twice a month slump and having a blast.
Keep up the great work.
